Color Renovation

There’s BIG NEWS over at Stampin’Up! and I’m so excited about it.    After 2 years of research, Stampin’Up! has announced a significant Color Renovation of all of the color families.  Now, I admit that I was a bit shocked at the changes when I first saw them, but once I slowed down and looked at what was being retired, I realized that I was only loosing a couple of my ‘go-to’ colors. The new collections will be available in the 2010 – 2011 Idea Book and Catalogue.  There will be 5 new core colors, and, better yet, some of my favorite In Colors from previous years will be making a return appearance.  To see this hip, new line-up, click here and to see which colors colors we’ll be saying good bye to click here.

You may want to start stocking up on some of your favorite colors so that you have a good supply for your future stamping needs.

Happy stamping!

Items Carried Forward From The Holiday Mini

You’re right Susan, it has been too long.  For those of you who don’t know Susan, she’s my computer guru.  She helped me set up this blog, and while she’s not a stamper, does check up on me occasionally.  Yesterday, she casually asked how my blog was doing.  I knew she noticed a lack of posts.  Aside from our impetuous trip to Mexico earlier this month, I haven’t had a lot of stamping opportunities.  I will try to get better on regular posts.

Enough of excuses, on to stamping news.  The best recent news to me is the continued availability of some of my favourite items from the Holiday mini.  Here’s a list of the items:

Happy Moments

I’ve had some wonderfully happy moments stamping with my new Sale-a-bration stamp set called Happy Moments.  It’s a really versatile set of 4 images – 3 of them perfect for coloring, and 3 greetings: happy birthday, for you and thank you.  I chose this free set in the new clear mount version so I could see for myself  what the buzz was about.  I may just be the next convert, despite my love for the traditional wood mount stamps that Stampin’Up! has always sold.  The stamps are still made from the high quality and crisp stamping rubber that SU! is noted for.  The great part about the clear mount is that the stamp clings to the acrylic block, so you have much better control over placement.  As you all know, I’m a bit anal about ensuring my sentiments are straight, and always have my stamp-a-ma-jig at my side.  But with this system, that’s virtually eliminated, unless the greeting is very linear.  Combine that with the same easy clean up and great storage case (all one size and with a picture of the images on both the front and side spine for ease of storage) and it’s a winner.

Here’s some of my creations:

Happy Moments birdcage               Happy Moments male presents

Happy Moments cake                   Happy Moments Flowers

Now, don’t you just have to have this set?  Purchase $65 of Stampin’Up! product form now until March 31st, and it’s yours.
